But if you can’t readily find this type of kit, you may be stuck with the external, peel-and-stick type. These come with small and thin metal clips that let the glass close completely without any interference. Proper kits for these types of windows exist, though. If your visor kit has too thick an edge and your one-touch windows have this override, they will never close properly. When it comes to one-touch power windows, most come with a safety mechanism that reverses the direction when closing the window to avoid pinching, say, a finger or a hand.
